5 Days From Tangier ( Tanger ) and back to Tangier through Chaoen, Fes and Casablanca
Day 1 : Tangier ( Tanger ) – Chefchaouen ( Chaouen ) :
Today we will drive through the Rif mountains and Tetoun city to enjoy the views of the beautiful mountains till we get to Chefchaouan one of the stunning villages in the feet of Rif mountains. Chefchaouen ( Chaouen ) medina had a Spanish-style square surrounded by many funky arts and crafts stores, roof-top restaurants and cafes where you will spend you night in a nice place to enjoy the breeze and the beauty of the nature.
Day 2 : Chefchaouen ( Chaouen ) – Volubilis – Meknes – Fes
After tasty breakfast in the riad our journey start towards Volubilis crossing via Ouazan and other Rif villages. In Volubilis we will discover the Roman ruins and we learn about the Moroocan history ,then we will drive to Meknes city (the 17 th century heritage) where we will stop for lunch and we will discover the historical walls of medina ,bab el mansour and we will enjoy a visit of Moulay Ismail shrine. Later in the afternoon we head to Fes city where we will spend the night.
Day 3 : Fes
Today we will start exploring the oldest city in Morocco, walking in its alleys and small streets. Our visit starts by visiting the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish headquarter,the first Mellah ever built in Morocco, built during the 16th century. We will ensure that you visit all sites with cultural and historical interest including the famous Al Qaraouine University, the oldest in the region, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. After lunch, you will visit the tiles cooperative and then experience a wonderful panoramic view over the whole Medina of Fes.
Day 4 : Fes – Rabat – Casablanca
Fez comprises three distinct parts, Fes el Bali which is the oldest part surrounded by a big wall, where are more than 9000 narrow streets and allies. Fes-Jdid or the new Fez, home of the Mellah the Jewish quarter and the Ville Nouvelle the newest section of Fez created during the French occupation. Fes el Bali is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Later today we drive to Rabat and Casablanca.
Day 5 : Casablanca – Assilah – Tangier ( Tanger )
Today we continue our private Morocco tour from Tangier ( Tanger ) and we drive from Casablanca to Assilah and then Tangier ( Tanger ).
